About the Conference
The International Women's Conference brings together women from across industries, cultures, and career stages for a full day of learning and connection. Each year, around 200 women gather to hear from accomplished leaders, build practical skills, and expand their networks.
The 2027 theme, Her Leadership, Her Business, celebrates the woman who leads in every arena: in the boardroom, in her own company, and in her community.

Dr. Shalei V. K. Simms
Shalei V. K. Simms, Ph.D. is dean of the Murray Koppelman School of Business at Brooklyn College, where she leads Brooklyn’s only AACSB-accredited business school.
A nationally recognized leader in business education, Simms brings extensive experience in academic leadership, accreditation, strategic planning, student success, and innovation in higher education.
Before joining Brooklyn College in 2026, she served as dean of the School of Business at SUNY Old Westbury, where she successfully guided the school through its initial AACSB accreditation and expanded industry partnerships, experiential learning opportunities, and flexible academic programs.
